Grant Description

On 18 March 2016, China handed over an aid package worth $74,400 to improve the development of the education and agriculture sectors in Ha'apai, Tonga.

The provisions included 15 water tanks for primary schools in Ha'apai, as well as other agricultural aid, such as fence construction for GPS Nomuka, GPS Lotofoa and GPS Fakakai, as well as two tractors for local communities. The aid package also included some scholarships for students from poor families.
