Grant Description

Fundao de Educao para a Preservao Ambiental e Desenvolvimento Sustentvel da Bacia do Rio Paraguau (Fundao Paraguau).

Fundao Paraguau will work with poor families in basin of the Paraguau River on the restoration and responsible use of the Caatinga biome whose woodlands have become degraded.

It will plant gardens, create a community seed bank, cultivate seedlings and providing training in reforestation and the production of traditional handicrafts from the resources available. 500 residents of the Chapada Diamantina region of Bahia will benefit directly and another 5,000 indirectly.
