Grant Description

FUNORSAL will expand its development model of community enterprises to six new communities through its member-owned business, Hilanderia Intercomunal Salinas (HIS).

FUNORSAL will work with about 480 indigenous sheep and alpaca farmers in the provinces of Bolvar, Tungurahua and Chimborazo to improve the genetic quality of the sheep and alpaca, form community enterprises, undertake community organizing and incorporate the enterprises as shareholders of HIS. Approximately 1,000 families will benefit from the project activities.
