Grant Description
Cooperativa Multisectorial de Productores de Caf Organico Certificado Las Segovias R.L. (PROCOCER) will implement a project designed to improve the quality of life for small-scale farmers in the department of Nueva Segovia by increasing the quantity and quality of their coffee crop and increasing the sale of organically certified coffee on the international specialty market.
Project activities will expand PROCOCER's ability to provide training and technical assistance to farmer- members by creating a network of members to serve as agricultural extentionists and organic inspectors, providing regular and on-going training as well as advice and technical assistance to farmer-members in their community.
