Grant Description

To support a cooperative agreement with WHO to support the Introduction of Hepatitis B Vaccine in all countries that have adequate delivery system and increase coverage with the three-dose Hepatitis B vaccination series to 90% of children by 2010.

WHO is actively supporting countries to reach these goals, including conducting advocacy efforts to promote Hepatitis B prevention on the global agenda and to ensure sustainable funding for immunization program; providing technical assistance to countries to introduce hepatitis B vaccine; and developing standards and guidelines to evaluate the effectiveness of hepatitis B immunization programs.
