Grant Description
China Development bank pledges 550 million USD in loans to Uzbekistan for the Uzmobile expansion On December 25th 2014, China Development Bank issued a loan of 550 million USD to Uzbekistan to develop the Uzmobile national GSM-operator.
However, the only portion of those loans to be disbursed is a 100 million dollar first phase that was signed with Huawei Technologies. (Record ID#40324).
This project will seek to enhance the capacity of the main data networks: international destinations – 10 times (up to 100 Gbps), to regional centers – 4 times (up to 40 Gbps) and to district centers – 10 times (up to 10 Gbps). As of September 2020, the remainder of this loan has yet to be disbursed.
