Grant Description

On August 6, 2009 and August 10, 2009, the Chinese Government and the Government of Macedonia signed letters of exchange, committing RMB 5 million of grant funding for the Goce Delcev Primary School Renovation Project.

The purpose of this project was to renovate the Goce Delcev primary school (ООУ Гоце Делчев) in the municipality of Prilep.

It involved the installation of new windows, flooring, and roofing, as well as the provision of new benches, stools, and blackboards. China IPPR International Engineering Co., Ltd. (IPPR) was the contractor responsible for implementation. It hired a Macedonian firm (B.A.R. ECE) as a subcontractor on January 30, 2010.

The project commenced on May 14, 2010, and ended on August 10, 2010. It was officially handed over to the local authorities on November 12, 2010.
