Grant Description

Sector: Energy.Beneficiaries: Initially 805 connections will be done. At least 50% of the beneficiaries will be women and youths.

More than 5,000 people will benefit directly and indirectly from this project.Description: Solar power will be generated and distributed across the Islet. The exercise will be replicated in the nearby islets. The solar power will replace use of fossil sources of energy such as charcoal and diesel gensets.

Through availability of reliable electricity, users will not only light their homes but will also engage in fish storage ad limited processing to minimize post fishing losses.
