Grant Description

Sector: Energy.Description: CEM intends to deploy 60kW Solar Mini-grid with 306kWh battery storage to provide electricity and productive use catalytic support to 553 customers (2,625 end users) in Chisenga Village, Malawi.

Access to clean and affordable electricity is expected to catalyze jobs and finance inclusion for 150 women in low income and female headed households, 30 youths, 50 subsistence farmers and improve domestic, social and productive services..This project will increase access to electricity, businesses in the area will increase therefore increased livelihoods and quality of life will improve in the Chisenga village
