Grant Description

SAPROCOM's primary focus is on livestock and animal husbandry, encompassing the formulation, processing, and sale of feeds for poultry, cattle, rabbits, and pigs.

This also includes selling feed inputs like soybean meals and oil, roasted soy, cottonseed cake, wheat bran, shellfish powder, maize, and concentrates.

Additionally, SAPROCOM offers services for feed formulation, mixing, and processing to farmers interested in creating their own feeds. They also provide veterinary care and monitoring services for livestock farms, in peri-urban areas.

Collaborating with hundreds of smallholder livestock farmers nationwide to sell its products, SAPROCOM also sources raw materials for processing from numerous small-scale maize and soybean producers reached out through cooperatives such as COBSAC and aggregators.

The company seeks support to enhance its operations through infrastructure and equipment upgrades, working capital mobilization, and increased production to comply with industry norms and standards and to serve a broader market.
