VETOPRO Animal Feed Expansion Project

Livestock and animal husbandry : VETOPROs main activity, is the formulation, processing, and sale of livestock feeds (under flour or granulated form) for poultry, cattle, rabbits, and fish; the sales of feeds inputs such as soybean meals and oil, roasted soy, cotton cake, wheat bran, shellfish powder, maize, and concentrates; the provision of formulation/mixing and processing services to farmers willing to produce their own feeds; the provision of veterinary care services and the sale of pharmaceutical products, consulting and training services for livestock farms (clinical activities and monitoring of farms in peri-urban areas).

The company works with hundreds of smallholder livestock farmers across the country and supply raw commodities for its processing activity from a large number of maize and soyabeans small farmers.

The requested support is to expand its activity through infrastructure and equipment upgrade, working capital mobilization and the increase of its production to meet norms and standards in the sector and a larger market.
