Grant Description

The project aims at the social and economic reintegration of vulnerable populations in the rural region of Mbarigo.

This project will enable young people (men and women) living in vulnerable situations and without access to traditional education to acquire practical knowledge leading to better work and future opportunities.

This project offers several long-term benefits for the people of Mbarigo, including job creation, growth of the local economy, and the empowerment and improvement of the living conditions of the project beneficiaries.

In addition, we will work with local partners (GDS, SCL and Gaston Berger University) to develop reintegration opportunities into the labour market. We would like, after a few years, to be able to form an annual cohort of 15-20 young people.

For example, Cooperative Integrated Farms would support capacity building for young people (men and women) living in and around the village of Mbarigo.

The development and growth of economic activities in this region will help improve the living conditions of targeted young people.
