Ikere Ekiti Olusetemi Cassava Production and Processing Project

The primary beneficiaries of the grant will be the 480 members of Ikere-Ekiti Olusetemi Cooperative Multipurpose Society.

The monies will be used for training, procurement of farm inputs, purchase of farm machineries and processing equipment, construction of processing unit and storage house. The primary focus will be cassava production in the short term while processing will be in the works for the long term.

The cooperative plans to build their capacities in best agronomy practices for cassava cultivation and modernized method of cassava processing. They also intend to improve their financial management and organizational capacities.

Similarly, they want to take an advantage of a larger market opportunities through improved quality of cassava production and marketing skills.
