Grant Description

On December 31, 2004, the 35-person rescue team from China arrived in Medan.

The team consists of members from China Earthquake Administration, doctors from The General Hospital of the Chinese People's Armed Police Forces, and soldiers from People's Liberation Army.

The main tasks for the team included searching for and rescuing survivors, performing medical operations, as well as assessing and reporting the damage. After 11 days of operation in Banda Aceh, the team returned to China on January 11.
