Grant Description

On October 30, 2010, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao announced a RMB 70 million aid to Nepal during the closing ceremony of the Shanghai World Expo where he met with Nepalese President Yadav.

On December 23, 2010, China and Nepal signed the aid agreement termed "People's Republic of China and the Government of Nepal Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement between the Government" in Kathmandu.

It was signed by the Ambassador of People's Republic of China in Nepal and the Nepal Finance Ministry Secretary on behalf of their respective governments. It is yet to be decided where the aid would be used.
