Grant Description

On March 16, 2006, the assistant of the Minister for Commerce of China Chen Jian and the Acting Secretary for Nepal's Ministry of Foreign Affairs signed the Sino-Nepalese Economic and Technological Cooperation Agreement (ETCA) where China will provide 20 million RMB in economic assistance to Nepal. The aid is part of the annual 80 million RMB aid that China provides Nepal.

Agreements for the remaining 60 million RMB will be signed during a visit by a high-level Nepalese delegation to China later in 2006.
