Grant Description
China Development Bank provides $50 million loan to COFIDE to support various projects On October 29, 2009, China Development Bank (CDB) and Corporación Financiera de Desarrollo (COFIDE) — a Peruvian state-owned development bank — signed a $50 million USD loan agreement.
The proceeds of the loan were to be channeled by Cofide through the domestic financial system institutions or first-level foreign banks for projects (to be approved by the CDB) in the transport, energy, environment, industry, infrastructure, and telecommunications sectors.
The loan agreement was signed in the run-up to the November 2008 Leaders’ Summit of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Forum, which was held in Lima.
