Chinese Government pledges $1 billion preferential buyer's credit On Apr 29, 2011, China and Indonesia signed a cooperation agreement stating that China will provide Indonesia with USD 1 billion of preferential export buyer’s credit to support Indonesia’s infrastructure construction and the development of key industries, as well as to strengthen cooperation in the fields of agriculture, maritime, non-traditional security, disaster prevention and mitigation.

This pledge was part of the larger $10 billion pledge: $1 billion in investments/export credits for the energy sector, manufacturing, and infrastructure (this project), and $1 billion in soft loans for maritime projects (#38540), and the $8 billion credit line commercial loans (#38539).
