Grant Description

On March 27, 2007, Li Changchun, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) Central Committee, met with Surinamese President Runaldo Ronald Venetiaan in Paramaribo, the capital of Suriname.

During the visit, the Governments of Suriname and China signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement that granted the equivalent of 2.4 million USD for unspecified development projects.
