On September 29, 2014, the Government of Ghana and People’s Republic of China signed a grant agreement worth RMB 5 million for the provision of medical supplies to respond to an Ebola outbreak. H. E. Sun Baohong, China Ambassador to Ghana signed the agreement on behalf of China and Hon. Cassiel Ato Forson, MP, Deputy Minister of Finance, signed the agreement on behalf of the Government of Ghana.
These medical supplies included protective equipment, sprayers, non-contact infrared body thermometers, and body temperature detectors. These materials were successfully delivered to the Ghanaian authorities on October 31, 2014.
