Chinese Government provides $14 million USD interest-free loan for agricultural projects In May 2014, Sudan's Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, Ibrahim Mahmud Hamid, revealed that the Chinese Government three different financing agreements for agricultural projects.

One of these agreements provided a $14 million USD interest-free loan to the Sudan Ministry of Agriculture for unspecified projects.

Other agreements signed during the visit included a $36 million USD grant (see Record ID#36144) and a $74 million USD loan for the acquisition of agricultural production inputs (see Record ID#36146).
