Grant Description

China's 14th peacekeeping squad to Timor Leste arrived in 2009.

The 21-person squad was sent to work with the UN mission in East Timor for one year, setting the end date to be in February 2010. Seven out of the 21 members had previously participated in UN peacekeeping missions.

The squad, which includes staff from the criminal investigation, public security, traffic and entry and exit sections in the southeastern Jiangxi Province, all passed strict exams in the regional situation, world affairs, international law, driving, first aid, and English.
