Grant Description

China pledges $123 million loan to Nepal for economic productivity On July 24th 2007, China pledged a 123 million USD (8 billion Rs) subsidized loan to Nepal for industrial and economic productivity. The pledge was made between Chinese Assistant Commerce Minister Wang Chao and Nepali Finance Minister Ram Sharan Mahat.

Dr Mahat welcomed the gesture, but added that Nepal has not yet decided whether to accept the Chinese offer.
