Grant Description

On May 20, 2002, China's Ministry of Education donated 500 Han-language textbooks to Vietnamese colleges for Chinese language studies. This occurred at the end of Chinese Deputy Education Minister Zhang Tianbao's 9-day visit in Vietnam.

During the visit, Zhang also pledged to increase the number of scholarships offered to Vietnamese students (See Record ID#34330)
