Grant Description

In April 2003, a ceremony was held as the Chinese government handed over two digital seismographs to Myanmar in order to assist seismographic tasks. Myanmar lies on the Alphide Himalaya earthquake belt with frequent seismographic events. Myanmar Minister of Transport Hla Myint Swe was present at the ceremony to accept and give thanks.
