Grant Description
China Eximbank pledges $48 million loan — via framework agreement — for unspecified purposes On February 4, 2004, the Chinese Government and the Algerian Ministry of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Handicraft Industry signed a preferential loan framework agreement.
Under the terms of the agreement, the Chinese Government agreed in principle to allow the Government of Algeria to borrow up to $48 million on preferential terms from China Eximbank for unspecified purposes.
According to the Algeria Government Official Journal, the Algerian Government ratified this agreement on August 3, 2004, corresponding to the Presidential Decree n° 04-222.
