On May 4, 2010, the Chinese Government donated a batch of anti-malarial medications to the Government of Senegal.

The drugs donated by the Chinese government were supposed to facilitate the implementation of 'Free Malaria Treatment Program' advocated by President Abdoulaye Wade and further boost Senegal's anti-malaria capacity.
