Leveraging science & technology for societal advancement – Wellcome Trust and TBI

The Future of Britain is the Tony Blair Institute’s (TBI) flagship programme in the UK, designed to devise a forward-thinking policy agenda that leverages technological advancements to drive substantial reforms. The programme aims to transform public services, promote economic growth, and achieve environmental sustainability.

The key deliverable for this application is the annual Future of Britain conference that brings together policymakers and innovators from the UK and around the world, supported by landmark publications outlining actionable steps for the British government in crucial policy areas.

Although the Future of Britain conference is UK-specific, the solutions presented at it are designed to be transferable or at least applicable to other regions.

The conference aims to launch radical policy recommendations for the UK and use the country as a case study for replicable strategies globally. Wellcome Trust are invited to support the Future of Britain conference through a grant of £250,000. In doing so they will help drive the discourse on health and social care, life-sciences, and research and development.
