Grant Description

China loans 120 million USD for construction of road from Chimuara to Namacurra In May 2013, Mozambique News Agency reported that Mozambican president Armando Guebuza had secured financing promises for several road projects during his several visits to China. One of the construction projects financed by China for 120 million USD was the road from Chimuara to Namacurra.

The other road projects signed that day include (1) $300 million USD for road linked to Maputo ring road (#30376), (2) $427 million USD for a road linking the city of Beira to Machipanda (#31066), (3) $278 million USD Bene to Zumbo (#31132), (4) $184 million USD from Cuamba to Marrupa (#31134), (5) $184 million USD from Cuamba to Marrupa (#31134), (6) $180 million USD from Moamba to Manjacaze (#31135), (7) $139 million USD from Fudzi to Nhamapaza (#31136), and (8) $118 million USD from Macossa to EN1 highway (#31138).
