Grant Description
On April 11, 2013, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) and the Government of Liberia signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA) granting $17 million USD to finance ongoing Chinese funded bilateral projects in Liberia.
The agreement was signed by Chinese Ambassador Zhao Jianhua and Liberian Foreign Minister Augustine Ngafuan on behalf of their governments. 8 projects were financed through this ETCA, which include: Jackson F.
Doe Tappita Hospital in Nimba County (#1673) Liberia Broadcasting System (#30313) Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex (#53253) Expansion project of the Monrovia Vocational Training Centre (See Record ID#1791) Monetary support for the Chinese medical team at the John F.
Kennedy Hospital in Monrovia (#30737) Agricultural demonstration center at the Centre for Agricultural Research Institute in Bong County (#1653) and two unnamed sub-projects
