Grant Description

Chinese Government signs Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement offering an interest-free loan to Mali On 30 December 2010, the Chinese Government signed four agreements with the Government of Mali; one of which being an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA) providing an interest-free loan of an unknown value.

It is unclear how or if the funds were used. The other agreements signed on the same day are captured in records #1544, #30676, and #30652.

The original coders wrote that the attached Ministry of Finance document reported this ETCA was worth 50 million RMB, but the document could not be recovered and it the figure could not be confirmed by any other sources. The resource named 'Module Centrale' has a tab called 'MC' listing several unspecified ETCA loans from the Chinese government, but fails to identify when each were signed.
