Grant Description

On November 23, 2012, the Government of Liberia and China's Ministry of Commerce signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA) worth $15 million USD.

Liberia's Foreign Minister, Augustine Ngafuan, signed the agreement on behalf of President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, while Zhao Jianhua represented the Chinese Government at the signing ceremony.

The $15 million USD will go to a ministerial complex project at the Defense Ministry site in Congo Town (see linked Record ID#18648), the Monrovia Vocational Training Center Expansion project (see linked Record ID#1791), possibly the construction of annexes at the National Legislature of Liberia (see linked Record ID#56011), and other unspecified sub-projects.
