Grant Description
On 3 October 2012, China pledged to donate another batch of food aid to Lesotho worth 8.4 million RMB (about $1.3 million USD). The donation was distributed through the World Food Programme (WFP).
This donation is in response to the Lesotho PM's appeal to development partners for humanitarian food assistance in September 2012 in light of 725,000 people facing food shortages following severe crop failure.
