Grant Description

On April 18, 2011, the China Ministry of Commerce and the Ethiopia Ministry of Finance signed two economic and technical cooperation agreements (ETCA).

One provided an RMB 50 million grant for unspecified development projects (captured in Record ID#30552) and the second provided an RMB 30 million interest-free loan (captured in Record ID#1451).

The two sides also signed five different Letters of Exchange allocating the financing of the following projects: a feasibility study for hydroelectric dams (see Record ID#91696), a potable water project, a bio-gas energy project, a solar energy project, and a malaria prevention program. It is unclear whether any of these sub-projects were funded by the RMB 50 million ETCA and if so, which ones.
