Grant Description
Chinese Government commits RMB 100 million interest-free loan — through ETCA — for unspecified projects On September 16, 2011 at the 11th Sino-Burundian Commission, the Chinese Government and the Government of Burundi signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA) that committed an RMB 100 million interest-free loan for unspecified agriculture, energy and infrastructure projects.
The Chinese Vice Minister for Commerce Gao Hucheng and the Burundian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Augustin Sanze were presented for the signing ceremony.
The loan is repayable over a period of ten years beginning in October 2021. A RMB 50 million grant agreement was also signed at the meeting (see Record ID#30476).
