Grant Description

On January 25, 2008, the Chinese Government provided an RMB 20 million grant to the Government of Namibia for the Omuthiya Primary School and Tsumkwe Primary School Construction Project.

This project involved the construction of a primary school in Omuthiya within the Oshikoto Region and a primary school in Tsumkwe within the Otjozondjupa Region. Construction started on April 11, 2008. It was successfully completed on September 10, 2009, and handed over to the Namibian authorities.
