Grant Description
On 6 April, 2012, the Chinese Government gave Zimbabwe a 80 million RMB grant as part of an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement for unspecified purposes. The agreements were signed during a visit by Chinese Vice Premier, Hui Liangyu.
Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce, Chong Quan, signed the agreements on behalf of China while respective ministers signed on behalf of Zimbabwe.
Other agreements signed at this time included a 31.5 million RMB agreement for provision of an outside broadcasting van for the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (recorded in Record ID#30639), a grant worth 4.5 million RMB for neonatal equipment (recorded in Record ID#30638), and a loan agreement for upgrading the Victoria Falls Airport worth 1.025 billion RMB (recorded in Record ID#30137).
