Then, on January 28, 2022, the Chinese Government and the Government of Ethiopia signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA), which committed an RMB 100 million (ETB 273,159,722) interest-free loan and an RMB 100 million (ETB 273,159,722) grant to the Government of Ethiopia for unspecified purposes.
