Grant Description

This project aims to investigate the role of AGN as tracers and mediators of the environments of distant galaxies.

There will be a particular focus on identifying and measuring any overdensities in populations of star-forming galaxies around high-redshift radio galaxies (HzRGs).

HzRGs are particularly important because there is some evidence that in these systems there can be feedback between the environment and the AGN, which will be examined in this project. The research will use data from the RAGERS survey on the JCMT.
