The research will address the challenge of modelling the combined probability of coastal, pluvial, and fluvial flooding. Further investigations are likely to be made into adding debris flow to the combined probability. The research may also cover modelling in a data scarce environments.
A systematic literature review will be conducted before choosing appropriate case studies. For the selected studies, historical information, topographical data, including LiDAR will be collated. This will be used to develop models in standard software so as to ensure the outcomes are readily transferable into practice. The combined probability analysis will use further programming and statistical approaches.
