Grant Description

This project will look at quantitative aspects of symplectic geometry. While symplectic manifolds have no local invariants, they do admit many global invariants. Prominent among them are the so-called symplectic capacities. The initial focus of this project will be on symplectic capacities and related embedding problems.

It may include connections with contact geometry, number theory, and combinatorics.
