Grant Description

Investigate the potential for enzyme-catalysed reactions of polysaccharides.

Develop new enzymes which can work under aqueous conditions for such reactions, and which demonstrate robustness for large scale application. Bioconversions will undergo scale up to provide sufficient quantities of polysaccharides for functional testing.
