Traditional teaching methods adopt the perspective of cognitivism which perceives the mind to be similar to a computer. Therefore, learning can be achieved through the use of cognition alone and the body is largely irrelevant to learning.
In contrast, embodied cognition suggests that learning occurs through the interaction of the brain, body, emotions and the environment.
Thus, this project will compare traditional teaching methods to methods which utilise embodied cognition to determine their effectiveness in the teaching of data science concepts.
