This research explores female entrepreneurship, focusing on understanding the factors that influence entrepreneurial activity among women and the measures that can support their success. Female entrepreneurs play a vital role in driving innovation, creating jobs, and fostering community development. However, significant disparities exist in entrepreneurial rates across different demographics, which are shaped by cultural, societal, and economic contexts. Understanding these variations is critical to designing effective interventions.
The research aims to:
1. Investigate the barriers that hinder women from pursuing entrepreneurship, including access to resources, cultural expectations, and institutional support.
2. Examine the role of networks, community initiatives, and organisational support in enabling women to overcome challenges and thrive in entrepreneurial ventures. 3. Identify strategies and policies to bridge the gender gap in entrepreneurship and promote inclusive economic growth.
Using a mixed-methods approach, this study will combine qualitative insights from interviews with entrepreneurs and stakeholders, alongside quantitative analysis of datasets. This methodology will allow for a comprehensive understanding of the dynamics of female entrepreneurship across various contexts.
The potential applications of this research include informing policymakers, non-governmental organisations, and private-sector stakeholders about effective strategies to support female entrepreneurship. Insights from the study can guide the development of inclusive policies, community-based initiatives, and educational programs that empower women entrepreneurs.
By addressing barriers and leveraging opportunities, this research aims to contribute to reducing gender disparities in entrepreneurship and advancing sustainable economic development.
The findings will provide actionable recommendations for stakeholders seeking to enhance support for female entrepreneurs, contributing to broader societal and economic benefits.
