Using LHCb Run 3 data to perform an analysis of the lifetime of the B_s meson in the decay B_s -> \mu^+ \mu^-.
B_s has two mass eigenstates with different lifetimes, currently the Standard Model predicts that the decay to two muons does not occur in the anti-B_s meson.
Deviations from the predicted effective lifetime in this decay could be indicative of new physics and can constrain the space of possible new physics models.
