Grant Description

My PhD project will uncover the properties and star formation histories of high redshift massive galaxies in unprecedented detail using JWST photometric and spectroscopic data.

Using a range of tools for modelling the spectrum, I will measure key properties of the stars, gas and central supermassive black holes of such galaxies.

By comparing these properties in the case of quiescent and star forming galaxies, I aim to quantify the relative importance of various quenching mechanisms in shaping the galaxies structure and evolution.
