Grant Description

Jeffrey will be exploring new dualities between quantum field theoretic scattering amplitudes in gauge and gravitational theories and 2d CFTs living on the celestial sphere.

An initial project will involve computing correlation functions of certain surface defect operators in a four dimensional WZW model, corresponding to holomorphic Chern-Simons theory in twistor space. This is a toy model, closely related to self-dual Yang-Mills theory, that preserves integrability at the quantum level.

Later projects may include extending the celestial chiral algebra calculation of multi-loop form factors beyond the MHV sector, and developing and understanding of entanglement entropy in celestial holography.
