Grant Description

Previous research has been done into how we can teach artificial intelligence how to play video games but less research has been done into how we can make use of this to help players.

The proposed research will look into how we can use artificial intelligence to help teach players how to play and improve at competitive video games by training one or more AI models to play a video game and then seeing if they can produce useful feedback for a player that will allow the player to gain insight into how to improve at the game.

This will allow more players to be able to get into the esports industry and compete at a tournament level by providing the information necessary to produces teaching tools that can lower the high barrier for entry that many of these games have.
