The Arctic is warming - fast. This has consequences which reach beyond the Arctic, including the emerging potential for zoonoses.
This project aims to deliver the first evidence driven risk assessment of the risks posed by potential pathogen emergence from the Arctic by combining lab analyses, Arctic fieldwork, and metagenomics.
I will learn with international leaders in these fields, joining their interdisciplinary teams, state-of-the-art labs, and international fieldwork to take an integrative, environmental science led approach to understanding zoonotic diseases from the Arctic.
