Grant Description

Training in the first year comprises of three components.

A taught component consist of four modules at postgraduate level, at least two of which are modules specifically designed for PhD students. A summer project serves to identify a PhD topic and to develop the ability to perform independent research. Finally, training in transferable skills is provided, by default in presentation skills and computing techniques.
